Malware
Possibly the most important factor to a badly performing computer is malware.
Action 1. Update the explanations of your anti virus and operate a complete scan of your hard disk drive in Safe Mode. Resolve any unfixable issues. Note that some infections need additional measures until they could be removed; ordinarily a websearch will find specific directions or a special removal tool. Use the Bc forums to request help, if you fail to find a answer.
2. If the sluggishness is unexpected, and you have recently saved an application, the problem might dwell there. Test this by fully eliminating it. A user will generally perform a websearch about the application before installing because in most instances, any possible problem with malware or poor performance will have appeared.
Stage 3. Adware and Spyware can radically effect your personal computer’s operation, and these are all over the Internet.

The simplest approach to review and than to handle start-ups will be to utilize one of many small resources available (see the BC list of free apps). If you are uncertain about what could be safely deleted, remember that Bc maintains a quite comprehensive Startup Database that contains information about whether the item is required, optional, or not needed.
At-the same time, remember that all those symbols in your Background also take a modest amount of trunk time to set themselves.
Absence of Care
Step 5. Clean up your hard drive (preparation for Step 7). Delete unused programs and transfer old files to your CD. Unplayed games, lots of family images, zipped files that you have opened, applications you have not found in two years, software for that old printer you threw away last year—these are some types of files you can delete. Then use Window’s Disk Clean-up to remove temporary internet files, temporary PC health files, etc.
(Note for advanced users: some specialists would comprise the added maintenance step of cleaning the Windows registry, and you’ll find several programs to assist do that. For the most part, so this measure is not contained, you can do serious harm by making registry modifications, registry maintenance won’t make a critical difference, and unless you’re really comfortable with Windows, and carefully make backups of the registry
Step 6. Run scandisk / checkdisk in Safe Mode. Have it mend Microsoft 12029.
Step 7. Defragment your personal computer.
