Malware
Possibly the greatest factor to a poorly performing computer is malware. Often this is associated with downloading an application that includes spyware, by not having browser security settings high enough, by carelessly downloading P2P files, or by failing to install security sections regularly.
Action 1. Revise the explanations of your anti-virus and run a complete scan of your hard drive in Safe Mode. Solve any unfixable problems. Note that some viruses require extra measures until they can be removed; usually a web search will find specific instructions or a special removal tool. If you cannot find a solution, use the BC forums to obtain help.
Step Two. You’ve recently saved an application, and if the sluggishness is sudden, the issue may rest there. Check this by totally removing it. A user will generally perform a internet search about the application before downloading it because in most cases, any possible trouble with malware or poor performance will have surfaced.
Stage three. Adware and Spyware can radically effect your computer’s operation, and these are throughout the Internet. A very recent research showed that one out-of every 20 executable files on Web sites is spyware, and 1 in 25 domains feature at least one piece of spyware waiting for victims.

(Note for sophisticated users: some experts would comprise the added care step of cleaning up the Windows registry, and there are plenty of applications to help do that. For the most part, registry care won’t make a major difference, and unless you’re really comfy with Windows, and cautiously make backups of the registry, you may do significant damage by creating registry modifications, so this measure isn’t contained
