Malware
Possibly the greatest contributor to a badly performing computer is malware.
Stage 1. Update the definitions of your anti virus and run a complete scan of your hard disk in Safe Mode. Resolve any unfixable problems. Note that some infections require additional measures until they can be removed; ordinarily a web search will find specific directions or a special removal tool. Use the Bc forums to obtain assistance, if you fail to find a answer.
2. You have recently downloaded an application, and if the sluggishness is abrupt, the problem might dwell there. Check this by fully removing it. A user will generally perform a websearch about the program before getting because in most instances, any possible problem with malware or poor performance will have appeared.
Step three. Adware and Spyware can drastically impact your computer’s functionality, and these are around the Net.
Seasoned users will consistently operate several of these applications, because each business has its own criteria for what constitutes spyware and will simply search against their own set. For the most part, so this measure is not contained, you may do serious harm by making registry changes, registry maintenance will not make a vital difference, and unless you’re really comfortable with Windows, and carefully make copies of the registry
Action 6. Run scandisk / checkdisk in Safe Mode. Have it fix Critical Error 30.
Step 7. Defragment your computer. Windows tends to put new documents in any available open space; defragging will set affiliated segments of files closer together therefore your read arm has less going around the hdd to do, saving wear-and tear while speeding up programs.
