Because many readers reveal their computer reacting slowly, I’m posting a summary checklist of general things you can do to resolve the 0xc000006 Bladproblem, and briefly discussing the three most frequent causes : malware, uncontrolled applications, and lack of maintenance.
Perhaps the most important contributor to a poorly performing computer is malware.
Stage 1. Update the definitions of your anti-virus and run a full scan of your hard disk in Safe Mode. Solve any unfixable issues. Note that some viruses need extra steps until they could be removed; normally a websearch will locate specific instructions or a special removal tool. Step Two. If the slowness is abrupt, and you’ve recently downloaded an application, the problem may live there. Test this by totally eliminating it. A user will generally perform a websearch about the application before getting because in most cases, any possible problem with malware or inferior performance will have surfaced.
Stage 3. Adware and Spyware can radically impact your computer’s performance, and these are all over the Internet. A very recent research showed that one out of every 20 executable files on Websites is spyware, and 1 in 25 domains feature at least one bit of spyware waiting for victims.
Update the explanations of your antispyware programs and check your hard drives in Safe Mode. Stage 4. Review applications that self-start on startup. You computer can become a battleground for your consideration. Many programs, for instance, install a rapid-start feature that permits them to be opened instantly; other programs may contain an automatic update feature that requires them to be working in the background. Each of these slows down your launch Windows and each needs a small bit of sources while your computer is running.
The simplest approach to examine and than to handle startups would be to-use one of many small resources available (see the BC list of free programs). Remember that BC maintains a quite complete Startup Database that includes info about whether the inquired item is required, elective, or not needed, if you’re unsure about what could be safely removed.
At the same time, remember that all those icons on your own Desktop also take a modest amount of boot time to set themselves.
Lack of Upkeep
Stage 5. Delete unused programs and exchange old files to a CD. Unplayed games, lots of family pictures, zipped files which you have previously opened, applications you have not used in two years, software for the old printer you put away last year—these are some examples of files you can delete.
(Note for sophisticated users: some specialists would comprise the added upkeep step of cleaning the Windows registry, and you will find plenty of programs to help do that. For the most part, so this measure is not contained, you may do severe harm by making registry modifications, registry care won’t make a significant difference, and unless you are quite comfortable with Windows, and carefully make copies of-the registry
Step 6. Run scandisk / checkdisk in Safe Mode. Have it mend 0xc000006 Blad.
Action 7. Defragment your pc.
