Because many readers come up with their computer reacting slowly, I’m posting a summary record of general steps you can take to solve the 0x200dproblem, and briefly discussing the three most common causes : malware, uncontrolled applications, and lack of care.
Possibly the greatest contributor to a poorly performing computer is malware.
Stage 1. Update the explanations of your anti virus and run a full scan of your hard disk drive in Safe Mode. Resolve any unfixable problems. Note that some viruses require additional steps until they can be removed; usually a web search will find specific instructions or a special removal tool. Use the Bc forums to obtain assistance, if you can’t find a solution.
2. If the slowness is sudden, and you have recently saved an application, the issue might live there. Check this by entirely removing it. A wise user will normally perform a web search about the application before getting because in most cases, any possible issue with malware or poor performance will have surfaced.
Stage 3. Adware and Spyware can drastically impact your computer’s performance, and these are all over the World wide web. A very recent research indicated that one out of every 20 executable files on Web sites is spyware, and 1 in 25 domains feature at least one piece of spyware waiting for victims.
Revise the explanations of your anti spyware applications and scan your hard drives in Safe Mode. Experienced users will routinely operate two or three of the programs, because each company has its own criteria for what constitutes spyware and will just search against their own established. Remember that Bc maintains a very comprehensive Startup Database that contains info about whether the inquired item is needed, optional, or not needed, if you’re unsure about what can be safely deleted.
At-the same time, remember that all those icons on your Background also take a modest amount of trunk time to put themselves.
Lack of Care
Step 5. Delete unused programs and exchange old files into a CD. Unplayed games, lots of family pictures, zipped files that you have opened, applications you have not found in two years, software for the old printer you put away last year—these are some types of files you can delete. Then use Window’s Disk Clean-up to remove temporary internet files, temporary PC health files, etc.
(Note for high level users: some professionals would contain the additional maintenance step of cleaning the Windows registry, and there are plenty of apps to assist try this. For the most part, so this step isn’t included, you may do significant damage by creating registry modifications, registry care won’t make a vital difference, and unless you’re very comfy with Windows, and carefully make backups of the registry
Action 6. Run scandisk / checkdisk in Safe Mode. Have it repair 0x200d.
Stage 7. Defragment your personal computer.
