Malware
Maybe the most important factor to a badly performing computer is malware.
Step 1. Update the explanations of your anti-virus and run a complete scan of your drive in Safe Mode. Solve any unfixable issues. Note that some infections need additional steps before they can be removed; usually a web search will locate specific directions or a particular removal tool. Use the Bc forums to request support, if you can’t find a solution.
Step 2. If the slowness is unexpected, and you’ve recently saved an application, the problem may reside there. Test this by completely removing it. A user will usually perform a web search about the application before installing because in most cases, any possible trouble with malware or poor performance will have appeared.
Step three. Adware and Spyware can radically impact your computer’s performance, and these are all over the Web.
Seasoned users will routinely run several of these applications, because each business has its own requirements for what constitutes spyware and will simply search against their own set. (A list of very great, free antispyware applications is provided by BC). Again, resolve any open issues before continuing to the next step.
Uncontrolled Applications
Step 4. Evaluation apps that self-launching on startup. You computer may become a battleground for your attention. Many programs, for example, install a fast-launch feature which enables them to be exposed immediately; other programs may include an automatic update feature that demands them to be running in the background. Each of these slows down your debut Windows and each requires a small bit of sources while your computer is running.
The simplest method to review and than to manage start-ups is to-use one of many little resources available (see the BC list of free applications). In case you are uncertain about what may be safely removed, remember that BC maintains a really comprehensive Startup Database that contains information about whether the questioned item is needed, elective, or unnecessary.
At the same time, remember that all those symbols on your Background also take a small amount of boot time to place themselves.
Absence of Maintenance
Stage 5. Delete unused programs and move old files to your CD. Unplayed games, lots of family pictures, zipped files that you have opened, applications you haven’t used in two years, software for that old printer you put away last year—these are a few types of files you can delete. Then use Window’s Disk Clean-up to delete temporary internet files, temporary PC health files, etc.
(Note for high level users: some specialists would contain the added maintenance step of cleaning up the Windows registry, and there are plenty of applications to help do that. For the most part, so this measure isn’t contained, you can do serious damage by creating registry changes, registry care will not make a major difference, and unless you are very comfy with Windows, and cautiously make copies of the registry
Action 6. Have it repair 0x000013DB.
Step 7. Defragment your computer.
Hopefully, now that you have have ended, you will see a noticeable improvement in pc functionality.
