Malware
Possibly the most important contributor to a poorly performing computer is malware.
Action 1. Revise the explanations of your anti virus and operate a full scan of your hard disk drive in Safe Mode. Resolve any unfixable issues. Notice that some infections need additional measures until they can be removed; usually a web search will locate specific instructions or a special removal tool. If you cannot find a solution, use the Bc forums to request assistance.
Step Two. You’ve recently downloaded an application, and if the sluggishness is unexpected, the issue may reside there. Test this by completely removing it. A user will typically perform a web search about the program before downloading it because in most cases, any potential difficulty with malware or poor performance will have surfaced.
Step three. Adware and Spyware can drastically impact your personal computer’s operation, and these are throughout the Net. A very recent research indicated that one out-of every 20 executable files on Websites is spyware, and 1 in 25 domains contain at least one piece of spyware waiting for victims.
Update the definitions of your anti-spyware programs and scan your hard drives in Safe Mode. For the most part, so this measure isn’t contained, you can do serious harm by making registry changes, registry maintenance will not make a significant difference, and unless you are very comfortable with Windows, and carefully make backups of-the registry
Action 6. Run scandisk / checkdisk in Safe Mode. Have it repair What Makes A Computer.
Action 7. Defragment your personal computer.
