Malware
Possibly the greatest contributor to a poorly performing computer is malware. Usually this is related to downloading a software that includes spyware, by not having browser security settings high enough, by carelessly downloading P2P files, or by declining to install security sections in a timely manner.
Action 1. Revise the definitions of your anti virus and run a full scan of your drive in Safe Mode. Resolve any unfixable issues. Note that some viruses require extra steps until they could be removed; generally a websearch will locate specific directions or a special removal tool. If you fail to find a solution, use the Bc forums to obtain help.
2. You’ve recently downloaded an application, and if the sluggishness is sudden, the problem may reside there. Check this by fully eliminating it. A wise user will normally perform a websearch about the application before installing because in most cases, any potential trouble with malware or inferior performance will have surfaced.
Action 3. Adware and Spyware can dramatically effect your computer’s performance, and these are all over the Internet.
Experienced users will routinely operate two or three of the programs, because each company has its own standards for what constitutes spyware and will just search against their own set. (A record of really great, free anti-spyware applications is provided by BC). Again, solve any open issues before continuing to the next step.
Uncontrolled Applications
Stage 4. Evaluation programs that self-start on startup. You pc can become a battleground for your consideration. Many programs, for instance, install a rapid-start feature which enables them to be opened promptly; other programs will include an automatic update feature that requires them to be operating in the background. Your launching Windows are slowed down by each of these and each requires a little bit of resources while your computer is running.

At the same time, remember that all those icons in your Desktop also take a small number of trunk time to place themselves.
Lack of Care
Step 5. Delete unused applications and move old files to your CD. Unplayed games, tons of family images, zipped files that you have previously opened, applications you haven’t used in two years, software for that old printer you threw away last year—these are a few examples of files you can delete.
(Note for sophisticated users: some specialists would comprise the additional upkeep step of cleaning up the Windows registry, and there are several applications to help do that. For the most part, so this measure isn’t included, you may do significant harm by creating registry changes, registry maintenance will not make a major difference, and unless you are really comfy with Windows, and carefully make copies of-the registry
Stage 6. Run scandisk / checkdisk in Safe Mode. Have it mend Scandisk 4gb.
Action 7. Defragment your personal computer.
