Possibly the greatest contributor to a badly performing computer is malware. Usually this is associated with downloading a software that contains spyware, by not having browser security settings large enough, by carelessly downloading P2P files, or by declining to install security areas in a timely manner.
Step 1. Update the explanations of your antivirus and run a full scan of your hard disk in Safe Mode. Solve any unfixable issues. Note that some infections need extra measures until they may be removed; normally a web search will locate specific instructions or a particular removal tool. If you fail to find a answer, use the BC forums to request help.
2. You have recently saved an application, and if the slowness is sudden, the problem may live there. Test this by fully eliminating it. A wise user will usually perform a web search about the program before installing because in most instances, any potential problem with malware or poor performance will have appeared.
Step 3. Adware and Spyware can radically effect your personal computer’s functionality, and these are around the Net. A very recent research indicated that one out of every 20 executable files on Web sites is spyware, and 1 in 25 domains include at least one bit of spyware waiting for sufferers.
Experienced users will frequently run two or three of the programs, because each business has its own criteria for what constitutes spyware and will just search against their own established. (A list of really great, free anti spyware programs is supplied by BC). Again, solve any open issues before continuing to the next phase.

Stage 4. Review applications that self-launching on startup. You pc can become a battleground for your attention. Many programs, for example, install a quick-start feature which allows them to be opened fast; other programs may comprise an automated update feature that requires them to be operating in the background. Your launching Windows are slowed down by each of these and each requires a small bit of resources while your personal computer is running.
You can use its startup tool that lists startups and lets you to show off any you don’t want, if, for instance, you have Spybot Search and Destroy. Remember that Bc maintains a very complete Startup Database that contains information about whether the item is required, discretionary, or not needed, if you’re uncertain about what can be safely deleted.
At-the same time, remember that all those icons in your Background also take a modest amount of trunk time to put themselves.
Lack of Maintenance
Stage 5. Delete unused programs and exchange old files to a CD. Unplayed games, tons of family images, zipped files that you have already opened, applications you have not found in two years, software for the old printer you put away last year—these are some examples of files you can delete. Then use Window’s Disk Cleanup to delete temporary internet files, temporary PC health files, etc.
(Note for higher level users: some professionals would contain the added maintenance step of cleaning up the Windows registry, and you’ll find several apps to help do this. For the most part, registry maintenance won’t make a significant difference, and unless you’re really comfy with Windows, and cautiously make copies of the registry, you can do serious harm by creating registry changes, so this measure isn’t included
Action 6. Have it fix Not Responding Windows.

Hopefully, now that you have have finished, you will find a marked enhancement in computer performance.
