Malware
Possibly the greatest factor to a badly performing computer is malware. Generally this is associated with downloading a software that contains spyware, by not having browser security options large enough, by carelessly downloading P2P files, or by failing to install security areas in a timely manner.
Action 1. Update the explanations of your anti virus and run a full scan of your hard disk drive in Safe Mode. Solve any unfixable problems. Note that some infections require additional steps until they may be removed; typically a websearch will find specific directions or a special removal tool. If you can’t find a answer, use the BC forums to request support.
2. You’ve recently saved an application, and if the sluggishness is surprising, the issue might rest there. Test this by fully removing it. A wise user will normally perform a websearch about the application before downloading it because in most instances, any potential trouble with malware or inferior performance will have surfaced.
Step 3. Adware and Spyware can dramatically effect your personal computer’s operation, and these are around the World wide web. A very recent research showed that one out of every 20 executable files on Web sites is spyware, and 1 in 25 domains contain at least one piece of spyware waiting for victims.
Experienced customers will often operate two or three of the programs, because each company has its own requirements for what constitutes spyware and will simply search against their own set. Uncontrolled Applications
Stage 4. Evaluation applications that self-launching on startup. You pc may be a battleground for your interest. Many programs, for example, install a fast-launch feature that allows them to be opened instantly; other programs will contain an automatic update feature that requires them to be operating in the background. Each of these decreases your launch Windows and each needs a small bit of assets while your computer is running.
The simplest way to examine and than to manage start ups would be to-use one of the numerous small utilities available (see the Bc list of free programs). If you’re unsure about what can be safely deleted, remember that BC maintains a very complete Startup Database that includes info about whether the questioned item is required, elective, or unnecessary.
At the same time, remember that all those icons on your own Background also take a small amount of boot time to set themselves.
Lack of Care
Step 5. Delete unused programs and move old files to a CD. Unplayed games, lots of family pictures, zipped files that you have opened, applications you haven’t used in two years, software for that old printer you put away last year—these are a few examples of files you can delete.
(Note for advanced level users: some experts would contain the additional maintenance stage of cleaning up the Windows registry, and you will find several programs to help do that. For the most part, so this measure is not contained, you may do serious damage by creating registry changes, registry care won’t make a critical difference, and unless you’re really comfy with Windows, and carefully make copies of the registry
Stage 6. Run scandisk / checkdisk in Safe Mode. Have it repair Messenger Error Code 1635.
Step 7. Defragment your computer.
