Possibly the greatest factor to a poorly performing computer is malware.
Step 1. Revise the explanations of your antivirus and operate a complete scan of your drive in Safe Mode. Solve any unfixable issues. Notice that some viruses need extra measures until they could be removed; usually a web search will locate specific directions or a particular removal tool. Use the BC forums to request support, if you cannot find a solution.
Step 2. You’ve recently saved an application, and if the slowness is abrupt, the issue may live there. Test this by totally eliminating it. A user will generally perform a web search about the application before getting because in most instances, any possible problem with malware or poor performance will have appeared.

Update the explanations of your anti-spyware programs and scan your hard drives in Safe Mode. Seasoned customers will routinely operate two or three of these applications, because each company has its own criteria for what constitutes spyware and will only search against their own established. Many programs, for example, install a fast-start feature that permits them to be opened promptly; other programs may include an automated update feature that requires them to be running in the background. Your launching Windows are slowed down by each of these and each requires a small bit of sources while your computer is running.
If, for example, you have Spybot Search and Destroy, you may use its startup tool that lists startups and enables you to turn off any you do not want. If you are uncertain about what could be safely deleted, remember that BC maintains a quite comprehensive Startup Database that contains information about whether the inquired item is needed, optional, or unnecessary.
At the same time, remember that all those symbols in your Background also take a modest number of boot time to place themselves.
Absence of Maintenance
Stage 5. Clean-up your hard drive (preparation for Step 7). Delete unused programs and exchange old files to your CD. Unplayed games, tons of family images, zipped files which you have opened, applications you have not found in two years, software for the old printer you put away last year—these are some types of files you can delete.
(Note for advanced level users: some experts would comprise the added care step of cleaning the Windows registry, and you’ll find several applications to help do this. For the most part, so this measure is not contained, you may do serious harm by making registry modifications, registry maintenance won’t make a major difference, and unless you’re very comfortable with Windows, and cautiously make backups of-the registry
