Perhaps the most important contributor to a badly performing computer is malware.
Stage 1. Revise the definitions of your antivirus and run a complete scan of your drive in Safe Mode. Solve any unfixable issues. Note that some infections need additional steps before they could be removed; typically a web search will locate specific directions or a particular removal tool. Use the BC forums to obtain help, if you can’t find a answer.
2. You have recently saved an application, and if the slowness is unanticipated, the problem might dwell there. Test this by completely removing it. A user will normally perform a websearch about the program before downloading it because in most cases, any potential issue with malware or poor performance will have appeared.
Action 3. Adware and Spyware can drastically effect your computer’s performance, and these are throughout the Internet. A very recent research indicated that one out-of every 20 executable files on Web sites is spyware, and 1 in 25 domains feature at least one piece of spyware waiting for victims.
Update the definitions of your anti-spyware programs and check your hard drives in Safe Mode. Seasoned customers will consistently run several of the programs, because each company has its own criteria for what constitutes spyware and will just search against their own set. (A record of really great, free antispyware programs is supplied by BC). Again, resolve any open issues before continuing to the next step.
Stage 4. Evaluation programs that self-launching on startup. You computer may become a battleground for your attention. At-the same time, remember that all those icons on your Background also take a modest amount of trunk time to set themselves.
Lack of Upkeep
Step 5. Delete unused applications and exchange old files into a CD. Unplayed games, tons of family images, zipped files which you have previously opened, applications you haven’t used in two years, software for that old printer you put away last year—these are some examples of files you can delete. Then use Window’s Disk Clean-up to remove temporary internet files, temporary PC health files, etc.
(Note for higher level users: some specialists would contain the added care stage of cleaning up the Windows registry, and you will find several programs to help do that. For the most part, registry maintenance will not make a vital difference, and unless you’re quite comfortable with Windows, and carefully make copies of the registry, you can do significant harm by creating registry modifications, so this measure isn’t included
Stage 6. Have it fix Error 1706 Patch.
Step 7. Defragment your pc.
