Malware
Possibly the greatest factor to a poorly performing computer is malware. Usually this is related to downloading an application that contains spyware, by not having browser security settings large enough, by carelessly downloading P2P files, or by declining to install security sections regularly.
Stage 1. Update the explanations of your anti-virus and operate a complete scan of your hard disk drive in Safe Mode. Resolve any unfixable problems. Notice that some infections need additional measures before they may be removed; typically a websearch will find specific instructions or a special removal tool. Use the BC forums to request assistance, if you cannot find a solution.
Step 2. You’ve recently downloaded an application, and if the sluggishness is sudden, the issue may reside there. Test this by completely eliminating it. A user will typically perform a websearch about the application before downloading it because in most cases, any potential problem with malware or inferior performance will have appeared.
Action three. Adware and Spyware can dramatically impact your personal computer’s functionality, and these are around the Web. A very recent research indicated that one out-of every 20 executable files on Websites is spyware, and 1 in 25 domains contain at least one piece of spyware waiting for victims.
Experienced customers will frequently operate several of these applications, because each business has its own criteria for what constitutes spyware and will simply search against their own set. Stage 4. Review programs that self-launching on startup. You pc may become a battleground for your attention. Lack of Maintenance
Stage 5. Clean-up your hard drive (preparation for Step 7). Delete unused applications and transfer old files into a CD. Unplayed games, tons of family pictures, zipped files which you have already opened, applications you haven’t found in two years, software for the old printer you put away last year—these are some types of files you can delete. Then use Window’s Disk Clean-up to remove temporary internet files, temporary PC health files, etc.
(Note for higher level users: some professionals would include the additional care step of cleaning up the Windows registry, and you will find plenty of programs to help do this. For the most part, registry care won’t make a major difference, and unless you’re really comfy with Windows, and cautiously make copies of-the registry, you may do significant harm by making registry modifications, so this measure is not contained
Stage 6. Have it repair Access Violation – Code C0000005.
Action 7. Defragment your pc.
