Malware
Perhaps the most important contributor to a badly performing computer is malware. Often this is associated with downloading an application that includes spyware, by not having browser security options high enough, by carelessly downloading P2P files, or by failing to install security areas in a timely manner.
Stage 1. Update the definitions of your anti virus and operate a full scan of your drive in Safe Mode. Solve any unfixable issues. Notice that some infections require extra steps before they can be removed; usually a websearch will find specific directions or a particular removal tool. Use the BC forums to obtain help, if you can’t find a solution.
Step 2. If the sluggishness is sudden, and you’ve recently saved an application, the issue might rest there. Test this by fully removing it. A sensible user will normally perform a websearch about the program before installing because in most cases, any possible problem with malware or inferior performance will have appeared.

Then use Window’s Disk Clean-up to delete temporary internet files, temporary PC health files, etc.
(Note for sophisticated users: some specialists would contain the additional care stage of cleaning the Windows registry, and there are several programs to assist do that.
